Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to grow with our expanding team. The role will perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The Accounting Clerk’s responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You will also run accounting and management software applications (FinancialForce PSA, Quickbooks Online, Salesforce, etc.) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expenses and receipts, and payroll runs. A successful candidate should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s weekly and monthly accounting cycles run accurately and effectively.

What you will do

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the management team
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Process business functions including AR/AP, expenses and receipts, and payroll runs
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Constantly update job knowledge


  • 1-2 years of accounting role experience
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree either complete or in progress
  • Familiarity withbookkeepingand basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software (Quickbooks Online, FinancialForce PSA)
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
